Thicker and weightier than normal jersey fabrics, ponte roma is a fantastic knit fabric for a range of dressmaking projects in need of a stretch fabric.

The double knit nature of this fabric gives it added thickness, meaning it has slightly more structure than regular jersey and is often warmer, whilst it also creases less easily. 

• Composition: 35% Polyester, 60% Viscose, 5% Elastane
• Width: 60"/150cm
• Weight: 340gsm (medium to heavy weight)
• Type of Stretch: 4 way
• Percentage stretch: approx 50%

Care information

We recommend washing your fabric at 30 degrees or hand washing. Natural drying is always best, but if you must tumble dry then put it on a low temperature.

Ordering

This fabric is priced and sold by the quarter metre. Please add to your basket enough lengths to add up to your desired length, and we will cut as a continuous piece. 

Eg. if you require 1 metre, add 4 to your basket and we will send you a continuous length of 1m of the selected fabric. 

Please be careful to make sure you have selected the correct length you need, as once cut fabrics cannot be returned unless faulty.
